REPTILE BOARDING
snakes alive have been providing reptile boarding since 2008 so whether you need care for your animal whilst you are on holiday, moving home or perhaps in need of some respite do not hesitate to contact us.
Our boarding facility is run from a purpose built animal room in our back garden which benefits from a high level of supervision and security, whereas a pet shop is un-monitored after business hours. Enclosures are maintained to a high standard and are adapted to suit each occupant's individual requirements no matter the size or habitat. As with all our animals welfare and enclosure checks are performed and documented daily for your peace of mind. If your animal requires medicine or medical treatment we are also able to offer this with your permission and discretion.
This high level of personal care comes at the flat rate of £5.00 per animal, per day; we even offer a 10% discount on multiple animals sharing an enclosure. To make life even easier will even perform home visits to care for animals you are unable to transport*.
We do not board cats, dogs, rodents or birds

SNAKE BOARDING
We have a variety of enclosures to enable us to care for a variety of different sized snakes and will always adapt them with features to best suit your animal.
PICK UP & DROP OFF
Going away can be a hectic time so we can transport your animals to and from your premise at a time convenient to you for an additional fee.
LIZARD BOARDING
Suitable enclosures all equipped with individual thermostats to regulate the perfect environment for your animal.
HOME VISITING
If you have a number of different animals or something you are unable to relocate, we can visit your home to care for your animal for an additional fee.
TORTOISE BOARDING
Not only do we provide indoor enclosures with their own heat regulation we have a number of outdoor tortoise runs.
MEDICAL CARE
If your animal requires medicine or medical treatment we are happy to provide this treatment at your discretions.
SPIDER BOARDING
We can provide enclosures for spiders and other mini-beasts upon request but prefer you to bring your own. These will all be kept in a suitable space and monitored daily.
OTHER ANIMALS
We can also house Amphibians and all types of mini-beasts

We have individually controlled enclosures so we can regulate the optimum temperature and daylight hours each occupant receives. Daily care and feeding is specialised for the species alongside your recommendations.
You are welcome to come and view the enclosures prior to boarding your animal. Feel free to email us to discuss when is convenient.
5* AAL LICENCE
Having run at Zoo standards for five years and holding the Performing Animals Licence we promptly received our 5* Animal Activities Licence (AAL) when the law was passed and are regulated by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council. This licence helps demonstrates our dedication to animal care, welfare and hygiene standards.
HOME-BASED CARE
By providing home-based animal boarding we can provide around the clock care for your animals. This is particularly beneficial for nocturnal animals that are not always seen or active during the daytime. Late night and early morning checks allow for more natural routines and enables us to notice changes in behaviour and health quicker.
